India’s External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar held a significant meeting with Mauritius Prime Minister Dr Navin Ramgoolam, reaffirming the deep-rooted and expanding partnership between the two nations.
Sharing details on social media, Jaishankar said he conveyed the best wishes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and highlighted the remarkable and substantive progress achieved in bilateral relations over the past year.

Both leaders also exchanged views on the evolving situation in West Asia and its broader global implications.
Jaishankar emphasized India’s appreciation for Ramgoolam’s strong commitment to the enduring India–Mauritius friendship, a relationship often described as a model of close diplomatic, cultural, and economic collaboration.
India and Mauritius share historic ties rooted in shared heritage, diaspora connections, and strategic interests in the Indian Ocean region.
