International Delegates Observe Tech-Driven Election Monitoring at CEO Assam Office

International delegates participating in the International Election Visitors’ Programme (IEVP) visited the State Control Room for Webcasting at the CEO Assam Office in Guwahati, gaining firsthand insight into the technology-driven measures being implemented to strengthen the electoral process and ensure greater transparency. During the visit, officials demonstrated how advanced webcasting systems are being used to monitor polling activities in real time, enhancing accountability and boosting voter confidence. The initiative reflects India’s continued efforts to modernize election management through digital innovation. The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) and the State Police Nodal Officer (SPNO) of Assam also briefed the delegates on key aspects of the election process, including security arrangements, monitoring mechanisms, and steps taken to ensure free and fair polls across the state.
