Rahul Gandhi Promises Full Statehood for Puducherry, Calls for Support

By Editorial Team 👁 44
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed the people of Puducherry, stating that despite constitutional guarantees of representation, the Union Territory is being governed from Delhi rather than by its own people. He asserted that this must change and promised that the Congress would grant full statehood and conduct panchayat elections within six months of coming to power. He described the political contest as an ideological battle, contrasting the BJP and RSS, which he accused of spreading division, with the Congress alliance’s focus on unity, love, and inclusivity. Gandhi urged the people of Puducherry to extend their full support to the Congress Party.
