PM Modi Congratulates Seema on CWG 2026 Bronze

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Indian discus thrower Seema Kaliramna for winning the bronze medal in the Women's Discus Throw at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Sharing his message on social media, the Prime Minister praised Seema's outstanding performance after she secured the bronze medal with a best throw of 58.65 metres, adding another athletics medal to India's tally at the Games.
In his congratulatory message, PM Modi said:

"Congratulations to Seema for securing a Bronze in the Women's Discus Throw event with a best throw of 58.65m. Her efforts have made India proud and motivated the youth of our nation. Wishing her the very best for the endeavours ahead."

Seema Kaliramna produced her medal-winning throw in the third round at Scotstoun Stadium after recovering from a difficult start to the competition. Her bronze became India's fourth athletics medal at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

The Haryana athlete's podium finish is also an inspiring story of perseverance. After taking a break from athletics to start a family, she returned to elite competition and worked her way back to the international stage, continuing India's proud tradition in the women's discus throw at the Commonwealth Games.

Prime Minister Modi's message adds to the nationwide celebrations as India continues its successful campaign at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
