PM Modi Highlights India’s Green Growth Vision, Praises Gujarat’s Early Leadership in Sustainable Development

Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized India's commitment to building a greener future, stating that the world is becoming increasingly conscious of sustainable development and environmental responsibility.

Addressing a gathering in Surat, the Prime Minister said that nations across the globe are steadily moving toward a greener era, and India is actively advancing its green growth agenda through renewable energy, clean technology, and sustainable infrastructure initiatives.

"The world has now become increasingly conscious of a green future and is steadily moving toward a greener era. India, too, is working extensively on green growth, and Gujarat began taking significant steps in this direction many years ago," PM Modi said.

Highlighting Gujarat's pioneering role in environmental sustainability, the Prime Minister noted that the state had embraced green development long before it became a global priority. Gujarat has emerged as a key hub for renewable energy projects, including solar and wind power, contributing significantly to India's clean energy targets.

India has been actively promoting green initiatives under various national missions focused on renewable energy expansion, carbon emission reduction, green hydrogen development, electric mobility, and climate resilience.

PM Modi reiterated that sustainable growth remains central to India's development strategy, balancing economic progress with environmental conservation to ensure a cleaner and more prosperous future for coming generations.
