PM Narendra Modi Extends Eid Greetings to Qatar, Reaffirms Support Amid Regional Tensions

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, conveying warm Eid greetings to the leadership and people of the Gulf nation. In a statement shared on social media, the Prime Minister emphasized India’s solidarity with Qatar amid escalating tensions in the region. He strongly condemned recent attacks targeting critical energy infrastructure, underlining the importance of safeguarding stability in the energy sector. PM Modi also expressed appreciation for the continued care and support extended by Qatari authorities to the Indian community residing in the country, highlighting the deep-rooted people-to-people ties between the two nations. Reaffirming India’s commitment to regional peace and security, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of ensuring safe and unhindered maritime movement through the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. He concluded by expressing hope that peace, stability, and diplomacy would prevail across the region amid ongoing geopolitical challenges.
