President Murmu Invites Moldovan Firms to Invest in India
President Droupadi Murmu, alongside President Maia Sandu of Moldova, addressed the India–Moldova Business Forum in Chișinău, highlighting the immense potential for expanding bilateral trade, investment and business cooperation between the two countries.

Addressing business leaders and industry representatives, President Murmu outlined several high-growth sectors where India and Moldova can strengthen collaboration. She identified digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI), fintech, renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and healthcare as key areas for future partnerships.

The President emphasized that India's rapidly expanding economy, innovation ecosystem and investor-friendly reforms present significant opportunities for international businesses. She encouraged Moldovan companies to explore investment opportunities and establish stronger commercial partnerships with Indian enterprises.

President Murmu said that the India–Moldova Business Forum serves as an important platform to deepen economic engagement and foster long-term collaboration between the two nations. She expressed confidence that increased business-to-business partnerships would further strengthen bilateral relations and create new avenues for innovation, trade and sustainable growth.

Moldovan President Maia Sandu also participated in the forum, reaffirming the shared commitment of both countries to expanding economic cooperation and enhancing people-to-people and commercial ties.
The event forms part of President Murmu's historic State Visit to Moldova—the first-ever by an Indian President—and marks another significant step in advancing the growing India–Moldova partnership through stronger economic and strategic engagement.
