In a message shared on social media, the left-handed batter thanked the state leadership for the opportunity and acknowledged the financial assistance of ₹3 crore provided to support his sporting journey. “I thank the Uttar Pradesh government and Hon’ble Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for appointing me to the post of Regional Sports Officer,” Singh said in the message.
