Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia speaking at the theme launch of the 10th India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 in New Delhi.

Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia launched the theme for the 10th edition of India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026, organised by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), highlighting India's remarkable transformation into a global digital powerhouse.

Addressing the gathering, Scindia described the information technology revolution as the creation of an "invisible highway" that connects people across the world, unlike traditional physical infrastructure such as roads or waterways.

He said India's digital ecosystem now represents the aspirations, innovation, and technological achievements of 1.4 billion citizens, while also contributing solutions for the 8 billion people across the globe.
Emphasising the rapid evolution of the India Mobile Congress, the Minister noted that the event has grown far beyond its national and regional origins.

"It is no longer an India event; it is no longer a South Asian event. It is today an international event," Scindia said.

He credited the continuous growth of IMC over the years to India's expanding leadership in telecommunications, digital infrastructure, innovation, and emerging technologies. The 10th edition of IMC is expected to bring together global policymakers, industry leaders, innovators, startups, and technology companies to showcase the latest advancements in telecom, AI, 5G, 6G, and digital connectivity.

The India Mobile Congress has emerged as one of the world's leading technology platforms, reflecting India's growing influence in shaping the future of global digital communications.
