“Shadow of Congress, Left, TMC Must End”: BJP President Nitin Nabin Calls for Change in West Bengal

BJP Narional Nitin Nabin on Thursday launched a sharp political attack on successive governments in West Bengal, stating that the state’s rich legacy has long been overshadowed by decades of misgovernance.

While addressing the politicalrally , Nabin said West Bengal, despite its glorious history, has remained under a prolonged “shadow” — first under the Congress, followed by the Left Front, and currently the Trinamool Congress (TMC).

“West Bengal has had a glorious history. Yet for a long time, it has been under a shadow. First came the shadow of Congress, then the Left, and now TMC,” he stated.

Calling for a political shift, the BJP leader emphasized the need to end this phase and usher in a new era of development under the leadership of Narendra Modi.

He asserted that a government aligned with Modi’s vision would focus on inclusive growth, aiming to bring prosperity to every poor household while accelerating industrial development across the state.

The remarks come amid intensifying political activity in West Bengal, where development, governance, and economic revival remain key electoral issues.

With the BJP positioning itself as an alternative to the current regime,
Nabin’s statement signals a renewed push for “Sonar Bangla” and a transformative growth agenda in the state.
