In a significant boost to bilateral ties and defense cooperation, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held high-level talks with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, resulting in new defense agreements and expanded strategic collaboration between the two nations. Volodymyr Zelenskyy Expressing gratitude for Spain’s continued support, President Zelenskyy described the visit as a crucial step toward strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities amid ongoing security challenges. He emphasized that the cooperation would enhance not only military-industrial partnerships but also broader political coordination between Kyiv and Madrid. “Ukraine is ready to contribute its expertise in drones, operational experience, and capabilities, while Spain’s defense industry can provide critical resources such as ammunition, radars, and advanced equipment,” Zelenskyy said, highlighting the complementary strengths of both nations. The Ukrainian President also confirmed that multiple agreements were signed during the visit, with technical teams from both sides already working on implementation details to accelerate defense innovation and production.
