Medal Race Set to Intensify
With major competitions in gymnastics, athletics and martial arts still to come, the Asian Games medal race is expected to become increasingly competitive.
China's strong opening-day performance has established an early lead, but the wide range of events ahead provides plenty of opportunities for Japan, South Korea and other Asian sporting powers to close the gap as the Games progress.
