Canada’s Aerospace Exports to India Rise 300%
Canada’s aerospace exports to India have grown by 300% over the past year, according to Canada’s Minister of International Trade, Maninder Sidhu. During his visit to Bengaluru, Sidhu met Canadian and Indian aerospace industry leaders at a roundtable hosted by Dynamatic Technologies to discuss opportunities for strengthening aerospace supply chains in both countries.
Sidhu said a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Canada and India could unlock new opportunities for collaboration in the aerospace sector. Highlighting India’s projected aviation infrastructure and aircraft requirements, he noted that India would need 2,000 aircraft and 100 airports in the coming years, adding that Canada’s aerospace industry is ready to contribute to this growth.
The discussions reflect efforts to deepen bilateral trade and industrial cooperation, with aerospace emerging as a potential area of collaboration as both countries explore a stronger economic partnership.
