Cristiano Ronaldo Reacts to Portugal's World Cup Draw: “This Is Far From Over”

Cristiano Ronaldo has urged Portugal to stay focused after their disappointing start to the FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign.

Following Portugal's 1-1 draw against DR Congo in their opening Group K match, the veteran forward took to social media to rally his teammates and supporters.
“Not the start we wanted, but this is far from over. Head up and focus on the next game,” Ronaldo wrote.

Portugal entered the tournament with high expectations but were unable to secure all three points despite taking the lead. The result leaves the Seleção with work to do in their remaining group-stage fixtures.

Ronaldo's message reflects the determination within the Portuguese camp as they look to bounce back and strengthen their chances of progressing to the knockout stages.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner is featuring in a record sixth FIFA World Cup and remains a key figure in Portugal's quest for global glory.
