D.K. Shivakumar Meets Governor, Stakes Claim to Form Karnataka Government
Karnataka Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader D.K. Shivakumar met Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot at Raj Bhavan on Friday and formally staked claim to form the new government in the state.

The meeting comes shortly after the Congress Legislature Party unanimously elected Shivakumar as its leader, clearing the path for him to assume office as the next Chief Minister of Karnataka. During the meeting, Shivakumar submitted the party's claim to form the government and sought the Governor's approval to proceed with the formation of the new administration.
The Congress secured the required support to form the government, and preparations are underway for the swearing-in ceremony. Shivakumar is expected to take oath as Chief Minister along with members of his Council of Ministers in the coming days.
The development marks a significant political milestone for the Congress party in Karnataka as it prepares to lead the state under Shivakumar's leadership.
