Speaking on her decision, Sushmita Dev said, “I have left Trinamool Congress. It is a long story why I left TMC. I don't want to be in a situation where I am in two boats at the same time. I will not comment on Mamata Didi.”

While she chose not to elaborate on the reasons behind her departure, her statement indicates a desire for political clarity and a clear direction moving forward. She also refrained from making any remarks about Mamata Banerjee, popularly referred to as “Mamata Didi.”
