India Dominates Global Yogasana Stage with 114 Medals at World Championships

India delivered a spectacular performance at the inaugural World Yogasana Championships, emerging as the overall champion with an extraordinary tally of 114 medals, including a remarkable 102 gold medals.

The prestigious event, hosted in Ahmedabad, brought together 522 athletes from 79 countries, showcasing the growing global appeal of Yogasana as a competitive sport. India's athletes displayed exceptional skill, flexibility, discipline, and artistic excellence throughout the championship, securing the nation's position at the top of the medal table.

Japan finished second in the overall standings, while Argentina secured third place after impressive performances across multiple categories.

The championship marks a significant milestone in the international recognition and promotion of Yogasana, a discipline deeply rooted in India's cultural and spiritual heritage. India's dominant performance further reinforces its status as the global leader in yoga and Yogasana sports.

The successful hosting of the event in Ahmedabad also highlighted India's commitment to promoting yoga on the world stage, strengthening cultural diplomacy and encouraging greater international participation in Yogasana competitions.
