Jaishankar and Rubio Review India-US Strategic Partnership Ahead of QUAD Foreign Ministers Meeting
India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar shared details of his meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in New Delhi, highlighting extensive discussions on strengthening the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.
According to Dr. Jaishankar, the talks covered a wide range of strategic areas including trade, energy cooperation, defence and security, critical minerals, artificial intelligence (AI), nuclear cooperation, people-to-people ties, as well as collaboration on counter-terrorism and counter-narcotics initiatives.

The leaders also exchanged views on key regional, global, and multilateral issues of mutual interest, reaffirming the importance of continued coordination between India and the United States on global challenges.
Dr. Jaishankar further expressed his anticipation for the upcoming QUAD Foreign Ministers’ Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, where he will join Secretary Rubio and counterparts from Australia and Japan to discuss regional security, strategic cooperation, and shared priorities in the Indo-Pacific region.
The discussions underscore the growing depth of India-US relations and the increasing strategic importance of partnerships shaping the future of global diplomacy and security.
