Jaishankar and Sugiono Lead High-Level Talks to Strengthen India-Indonesia Strategic Partnership
External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono co-chaired the 8th India-Indonesia Joint Commission Meeting, reaffirming the growing strength of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations.

During the meeting, Dr. Jaishankar highlighted the significant progress achieved in bilateral relations in recent years. Both sides held extensive discussions covering a wide range of sectors, including political cooperation, defence and security, maritime affairs and shipping, trade and investment, fintech, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, fertilisers, critical minerals, tourism, education, and cultural exchanges.
The leaders also exchanged views on key regional and global developments, emphasizing the importance of enhanced multilateral cooperation and stronger India-ASEAN engagement.
The discussions reflected the shared commitment of India and Indonesia to deepen collaboration across strategic and economic sectors while promoting stability, connectivity, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.
