"Thank You for Everything, Coach": Mbappé Honors Deschamps
France captain Kylian Mbappe has penned a heartfelt farewell message to outgoing head coach Didier Deschamps, thanking the legendary manager for his immense contribution to French football over the past 14 years.
In an emotional post shared on social media, Mbappe acknowledged that France had hoped to give Deschamps a more fitting farewell, writing, "Today is your last dance. You who gave us so much. We should have offered you a better ending, but we failed."

The Real Madrid forward praised Deschamps for playing a pivotal role in reviving the French national team, adding that history would ultimately recognize his greatness.
"Putting words to what you brought over 14 years is very difficult. People haven't always known how to appreciate your greatness, but time and history will take care of that," Mbappe wrote.
The France skipper also expressed his personal gratitude, thanking Deschamps for believing in him and giving him the opportunity to wear the national jersey on football's biggest stage.
"Thank you for giving me the chance and opportunity to represent my country on the biggest stage for so many years. I feel privileged to have stood alongside one of the greatest legends of our country, and I hold only excellent memories of everything we lived through and accomplished together."
Mbappe concluded by wishing Deschamps success in the next chapter of his career, thanking him once again for everything he brought to the French national team and the iconic blue jersey.
