Muchová Stuns Coco Gauff to Reach Maiden Wimbledon Final

Karolína Muchová produced one of the most memorable performances of her career, saving a match point to defeat Coco Gauff 6-2, 1-6, 7-6(10) in a gripping Wimbledon semifinal on Centre Court.

The Czech 10th seed battled through an intense two-hour and 35-minute contest that featured dramatic momentum swings and a nerve-wracking deciding-set tiebreak. After dominating the opening set, Muchová saw Gauff storm back to level the match before holding her nerve in the decisive moments to clinch victory.

With the win, Muchová advances to her first Wimbledon final and the second Grand Slam final of her career after finishing runner-up at the French Open in 2023. The triumph also marks a remarkable turnaround on grass, ending a streak of four consecutive first-round exits at Wimbledon.

Muchová becomes the fourth Czech woman in the past six years to reach the Wimbledon women's singles final, following Karolína Plíšková, Markéta Vondroušová, and Barbora Krejčíková.

She will now face either Linda Nosková or Marta Kostyuk in Saturday's championship match as she aims to capture her maiden Grand Slam title.
