Narendra Modi Extends Buddha Purnima Wishes, Urges Embrace of Peace and Compassion
PM Narendra Modi extended heartfelt wishes to citizens on the occasion of Buddha Purnima, emphasizing the enduring relevance of Gautam Buddha’s teachings. In his message, the Prime Minister called on people to reaffirm their commitment to the values of peace, compassion, and goodwill, which form the core of Buddha’s philosophy. “On this sacred day, let us resolve to walk the path of peace and embrace the life values of Lord Buddha,” he said. Quoting Buddha’s teachings, PM Modi reflected on the idea of detachment and inner realization: “Neither within nor without in the worlds did he perceive the self anywhere. By the eightfold path he attained supreme peace.” The message highlights the timeless guidance of Buddha’s teachings in fostering harmony and inner peace in today’s world.
