The reception was attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, representatives of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and Invest UP, among others.

Goyal said Uttar Pradesh offers an exceptional opportunity to attract investments into India and advance the Make in India for the World vision as the country enters its next phase of economic growth.

He highlighted the complementary strengths of India and Japan, noting that Japan's technological capabilities and industrial expertise can combine with India's young and talented workforce to drive manufacturing, skilling and job creation.

According to Goyal, Japanese companies are already expanding their presence in Uttar Pradesh, supported by major infrastructure projects including Jewar Airport, the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor and 27 industrial clusters spanning sectors such as defence, semiconductors and electronics.

Goyal also announced that he will travel to Japan next week to take forward discussions with the Japanese government and industry. He said the visit will include the largest Indian business delegation to travel overseas and will focus on further strengthening the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership.

The Union Minister reaffirmed India's commitment to welcoming Japanese companies as partners in India's growth story and expanding cooperation across investment, manufacturing, technology and skills.
