PM Modi at Melbourne Cricket Ground: India–Australia Sports Ties Get a Boost

During a visit to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Prime Minister Narendra Modi said sports are a key pillar of India–Australia ties as he launched the India–Australia Sports Collaboration Roadmap with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. He highlighted India's plans to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games and its bid for the 2036 Olympics, noted Brisbane's hosting of the 2032 Olympics, and welcomed the announcement of a Big Bash League match in Chennai.
