According to the Prime Minister, the government has already taken strict action against those involved in compromising students' futures, with several accused currently in jail. He also highlighted the establishment of fast-track courts and said the Centre is moving towards introducing new legislation in Parliament with stringent legal provisions to curb examination-related offences.
Emphasising the need for a future-ready examination system, Modi said technology must play a central role in ensuring fairness and credibility. The Nandan Nilekani-led task force will study the existing framework, recommend comprehensive examination reforms, and submit a report based on which the government will take steps to restore confidence in upcoming examinations at the earliest.
The announcement comes amid growing concerns over examination integrity and reflects the government's focus on creating a secure, transparent, and technology-driven assessment system for students across the country.
