PM Modi Praises Uzbekistan’s Efforts to Promote Yoga
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Uzbekistan’s growing contribution to promoting yoga, recalling the country’s participation in the first-ever World Yogasana Championship held in Ahmedabad earlier this year.

In a social media post, PM Modi said Uzbekistan was a “proud participant” in the landmark championship, with some of the medalists also present during his interaction.
He noted that the Uzbek participants returned home with “great memories of India and the Championship,” highlighting the people-to-people and cultural ties strengthened through yoga and sporting events.
PM Modi also commended the Yoga Federation of Uzbekistan for its efforts to make yoga more popular in the country.
The Prime Minister’s remarks underline the growing role of yoga in strengthening cultural connections between India and Uzbekistan, while also reflecting the international reach of India’s traditional wellness practice.
