Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday held a telephonic conversation with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during which the two leaders discussed the evolving situation in West Asia and reaffirmed their commitment to regional peace and stability. Prime Minister Modi conveyed advance Eid greetings to the UAE President and strongly condemned recent attacks on the United Arab Emirates that have led to the loss of innocent lives and damage to civilian infrastructure. He reiterated India’s firm stance against terrorism and violence targeting civilians. Both leaders also underlined the strategic importance of ensuring safe and uninterrupted navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical maritime corridor for global energy supplies. The conversation highlighted the shared resolve of India and the UAE to work closely towards the early restoration of peace, security, and stability in the region amid rising tensions.
