Suvendu Adhikari Announces Vande Mataram Museum in Bengal
West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said his government is committed to promoting nationalism and patriotism, contrasting its priorities with those of the previous administration.
Speaking to reporters, Adhikari alleged that the earlier government focused on appeasement, corruption, nepotism, and policies that pushed West Bengal backwards. He said that nationalism and patriotism were never part of its agenda.
Highlighting a key announcement made in the state budget, the Chief Minister said the government will establish a national-level museum to commemorate 150 years of Vande Mataram, aiming to preserve and celebrate the historic legacy of India's national song.
Commenting on the under-construction warehouse collapse in Kolkata's Taratala, Adhikari said rescue and cleanup operations are continuing without interruption. He stated that authorities are working round the clock to clear the debris and manage the situation.
The proposed museum is expected to become a major cultural landmark, while the state government continues to monitor the Taratala warehouse collapse and coordinate relief efforts.
