The Atoms AI Cohort 2026 brings together startups building solutions across voice AI, enterprise systems, streaming, and scientific research.
Five AI startups have been selected for the inaugural cohort of the Atoms AI accelerator programme, a joint initiative by Google and venture capital firm Accel. Announced last November, the programme is designed to support early-stage founders building AI solutions for India and global markets in partnership with Google’s AI Futures Fund.
The 2026 cohort was chosen from over 4,000 applicants and spans sectors such as enterprise systems, voice automation, entertainment, scientific research, and industrial automation. Selected startups will receive up to $2 million in co-investment along with up to $350,000 in compute credits across Google Cloud, Gemini, and Google DeepMind.
The programme, which began in Bengaluru on March 11, includes founders from India as well as global hubs like Singapore and Silicon Valley. It will offer mentorship from Google and Accel leaders, co-development opportunities, and access to a wider AI ecosystem.
Among the selected startups, K-Dense is building an AI “co-scientist” to accelerate research in life sciences and physics, while Dodge AI focuses on autonomous agents for managing SAP and ERP systems. Persistence Labs is developing advanced voice AI for large-scale call centres, and Zingroll is creating a streaming platform for AI-generated content. LevelPlane, meanwhile, is working on AI-driven automation solutions for industrial manufacturing.
With growing interest from global AI players such as OpenAI and Anthropic, India continues to emerge as a key hub in the global AI ecosystem, driven by strong engineering talent and expanding digital infrastructure.
The programme will conclude in June with a visit to Mountain View, where founders will engage with AI leaders and investors, marking the next phase of their growth journey.
