Haryana Police removes 154 YouTube videos and 703 Instagram reels of Badshah’s Tateeree amid controversy.

Rapper-singer Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, popularly known as Badshah, has come under scrutiny following the release of his latest track, Tateeree. The song triggered widespread backlash, with many alleging that it contained objectionable lyrics involving women and minors. Amid growing criticism, the singer issued an apology and confirmed that the track had been removed from all platforms.

According to a recent update by news agency ANI, Haryana Police have intensified action against the controversial song, removing a large number of related links from social media.

Haryana Police cracks down on online content

Officials stated that a total of 857 links have been taken down so far, including 154 videos from YouTube and 703 reels from Instagram. This action followed notices issued to social media platforms, directing them to remove all versions of the song, including re-uploads and short clips.

Haryana Director General of Police Ajay Singhal said that any content that undermines the dignity of women and minors will not be tolerated. He added that accounts sharing such content may be blocked or restricted, and repeat offenders could face strict legal action.

Authorities have also cautioned users against posting or circulating the banned track. Additional Director General of Police Shibas Kabiraj warned that violators may face serious legal consequences, including account suspension and prosecution under stringent laws.

An FIR has been registered at the Cyber Police Station in Sector-20, Panchkula, and the case is currently under investigation. Police teams are actively monitoring online platforms to identify individuals involved in sharing the content.

About the song

Tateeree is a Haryanvi hip-hop track released on March 1, 2026. It features Badshah along with vocalist Simran Jaglan. The lyrics were written by Badshah, while music production was handled by Hiten. The music video, directed by Mahi Sandhu and Joban Sandhu, combines modern rap elements with regional influences.

Earlier, the National Commission for Women had summoned Badshah and the song’s makers over allegations of obscenity and vulgarity. The Commission stated that the content appeared to violate provisions under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Information Technology Act, and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986.
