Kolkata Launches Cleanliness Drive Ahead of PM Narendra Modi’s International Yoga Day Event

Kolkata has begun a citywide cleanliness drive ahead of the upcoming International Yoga Day celebrations, which will be attended by Narendra Modi.

Speaking about the initiative, Suvendu Adhikari said that Kolkata is preparing to welcome the Prime Minister with a special cleanliness campaign. According to him, the programme commenced today as part of the city’s efforts to ensure a clean and organized environment before the high-profile event.

Adhikari also highlighted the significance of Kolkata hosting the main International Yoga Day programme this year, noting that Prime Minister Modi will personally participate in the celebrations. The event is expected to draw large crowds and showcase the importance of yoga as a global movement for health, wellness, and harmony.

The cleanliness drive is being carried out across various parts of the city, with volunteers and civic participants joining hands to enhance public spaces ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit.
