Luis Enrique Hails PSG’s Historic Back-to-Back Champions League Triumph After Arsenal Thriller

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique praised his team's resilience and season-long consistency after PSG successfully defended their UEFA Champions League crown, defeating Arsenal in a dramatic final at the Puskás Aréna.

Speaking after the match, Enrique admitted that Arsenal made life extremely difficult for the French champions, especially after taking an early lead and deploying a disciplined defensive setup.

"The match started in the best way for them. After that, they know how to defend. It was very tough," Enrique said.

The Spanish manager acknowledged Arsenal's physical strength and tactical discipline, highlighting the challenge PSG faced in breaking down a well-organized defense.

"We are used to attacking in that way with a lot of players behind the ball, but against them, they are strong physically, very tough," he added.

Despite the intense battle, Enrique believes PSG's performances throughout the season justified their success on European football's biggest stage.

"I think we deserve it. Maybe today both teams deserved to win, but the way we played the whole season, I think we deserve to win the Champions League," he stated.

The victory marks a historic achievement for Paris Saint-Germain, who become only the second club in the modern Champions League era to successfully retain the trophy. Enrique also expressed optimism about the club's future ambitions.

"We are very happy and trying to be there next year — why not?" he concluded.

PSG's triumph caps off a remarkable campaign and further cements their growing legacy among Europe's football elite.
