PM Modi Meets India’s Friends and Diaspora in Bishkek

Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets people closely associated with India in Bishkek

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met a group of people in Bishkek who share a close and continuing association with India.

The group included prominent members of the Indian diaspora, environmental enthusiasts, Yoga practitioners, academics, ITEC alumni, researchers and others who have maintained strong connections with India.

Sharing details of the interaction on social media, PM Modi said he was happy to see the continuous engagement with India and appreciated the diverse ways in which people around the world remain connected with the country.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the achievement of one of the Yoga practitioners he met. The practitioner had travelled to Ahmedabad to participate in the World Yogasana Championship, where they won a medal.

PM Modi’s interaction highlighted the growing people-to-people connections between India and its global community, spanning areas such as Yoga, education, research, environmental initiatives and cultural engagement.
