The Rahul Gandhi NEET-UG Paper Leak controversy intensified on Friday as Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi launched a fresh attack on the Narendra Modi government over the alleged examination paper leak issue. Addressing the media, Gandhi described Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as a "criminal Education Minister" and asserted that he must resign to restore public confidence in India's education system.

Rahul Gandhi also reiterated three major demands on behalf of protesting students, including the resignation of the Education Minister, action against those responsible for the alleged police action on students, and a public apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Rahul Gandhi Calls for Dharmendra Pradhan's Removal
Speaking to reporters outside Parliament, Rahul Gandhi accused the Education Minister of symbolising the failure of India's examination system.

According to Gandhi, the alleged irregularities surrounding the NEET-UG examination have shaken the confidence of millions of students and parents across the country.

"Dharmendra Pradhan is a criminal Education Minister. He has to go. He is the symbol of the collapse of our education system," Rahul Gandhi said.
The Congress leader alleged that the growing protests across the country reflected widespread dissatisfaction with the government's handling of the examination controversy.

Congress Lists Three Key 

Rahul Gandhi said the student movement is centred around three principal demands that, according to him, must be addressed before normalcy can return.

1. Resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan
The Congress leader maintained that the Union Education Minister should accept responsibility for the alleged examination paper leak and step down from office.

2. Action Against Those Responsible for Police Action
Rahul Gandhi also demanded strict action against officials allegedly involved in the use of force against students during the "Sansad Chalo" protest march held on July 20.
He alleged that peaceful protesters were subjected to lathi-charge and other forms of police action.

3. Prime Minister Narendra Modi Should Apologise
The Leader of Opposition further said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should publicly apologise to students and young aspirants affected by the examination controversy.

According to Gandhi, students deserve accountability rather than intimidation.

During the press interaction, Rahul Gandhi introduced a protester whom he claimed had sustained serious eye injuries during the student protests.

The Congress leader alleged that pellet guns had been used during police action, despite official claims denying such use.

He said the injured youth had appeared for a police recruitment examination but later became a victim of the alleged examination irregularities and subsequent protests.

Gandhi claimed that doctors were uncertain whether the injured protester would regain full vision.

The alleged NEET-UG paper leak remains one of the most contentious political issues during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament.
