Bansuri Swaraj Defends Modi Govt on NEET Probe
BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj defended the Modi government's handling of the alleged NEET paper leak, stating that protecting the future of India's youth remains the government's highest priority.
Speaking to the media, Swaraj said Prime Minister Narendra Modi considers young people the builders of the nation and stressed that the government responded immediately after reports emerged that the NEET examination had been compromised.
According to Swaraj, the Ministry of Education registered an FIR on the same day the alleged irregularities came to light and promptly transferred the investigation to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). She said the CBI subsequently constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT), which arrested 13 accused who remain in judicial custody.
Swaraj further stated that the Modi government has urged the court to conduct day-to-day hearings in the case, ensure the accused receive the strictest possible punishment, and deliver justice to affected students without delay.
The remarks come amid continued political debate over examination integrity, student concerns, and accountability in competitive entrance examinations.
