Uganda's women's 3x3 basketball team booked a semi-final clash against unbeaten New Zealand after defeating Tonga 21-12. Jamila Nansikombi said her team remains determined to keep fighting for a place in the gold-medal match.

Canada's Felix Dolci continued his remarkable campaign by winning two gold medals in the Men's Vault and Horizontal Bar, along with bronze in the Parallel Bars. His overall tally now stands at six medals, including four golds, making him one of the standout stars of Glasgow 2026.

Weightlifting saw another dominant display from Canada's Maude Charron, who secured her third consecutive Commonwealth Games title in the Women's 63kg category. Charron also set Games records in both the snatch (102kg) and clean & jerk (130kg). England's Sarah Davies Smale claimed silver, while 17-year-old Femily-Crystie Notte of Nauru earned a memorable bronze medal.

Despite heavy rain at the athletics stadium, Cameroon's Emmanuel Eseme stormed to the Men's 100m gold in a Games record 9.83 seconds. New Zealand's Zoe Hobbs captured the Women's 100m title, while Australia's Ky Robinson won the Men's 10,000m and Malaysia's Abdul Latif Romly triumphed in the Men's Long Jump T20.

Hosts Scotland celebrated their first bowls gold of the Games after edging England in a dramatic Para Mixed Pairs B2-B3 final decided by a tie-break. Robert Barr delivered the decisive final bowl to seal a memorable victory for the home crowd.
