Comedian Samay Raina has made a powerful comeback with his YouTube stand-up special Still Alive, released after the India’s Got Latent controversy. The special has become the most-watched full-length stand-up comedy show globally on a single upload, crossing 53.4 million views. Released on April 7, Still Alive quickly gained traction, hitting 22 million views within its first 24 hours. The hour-long set addresses the controversy, legal challenges, financial stress, and public scrutiny Raina faced, striking a strong connection with audiences worldwide. The controversy stemmed from remarks made by Ranveer Allahbadia on Raina’s show, which triggered backlash and led to the removal of all episodes from YouTube. Raina later shared that the incident impacted his mental health and left him feeling overwhelmed, while also criticizing others who tried to gain attention during the situation. Actor Mukesh Khanna had also publicly spoken against both creators at the time. Calling Still Alive his “most honest work,” Raina credited his audience for their continued support.
